A man who raped girl by pretending to be a ghost is jailed

A MAN who pretended to be a ghost to manipulate a teenage girl into having sex with him has been jailed for 26 years.
Liam Clarke, 35, of Crediton, Devon, was found guilty of 16 offenses against three victims, including rape of a child, sexual assault and inciting a child to engage in sexual activity. Clarke knew one of his victims, a 15-year-old girl, had a fear of evil spirits after a bad experience when experimenting with an Ouija board.
The Mirror reports he exploited her fears and naivety by telling her that her house was haunted. He then pushed notes under her bedroom door pretending to be from a ghost. The notes threatened the girl and her family and said the only way to get rid of the demon was by having sex with Clarke.
He also produced a note he claimed he’d been sent by the ghost, ordering him to have sex with the girl. Despite her objection, Clarke threatened the girl and used her fear of the occult “to secure her quite unwilling compliance”, said Judge David Evans at Exeter Crown Court.
Clarke also sexually abused two other young girls by putting coins in his underpants and getting them to play a game of hide and seek. All the offenses took place between 1997 and 2016 in Torquay, Crediton, and Hampshire.
Clarke was jailed today for 26 years, with an additional two years extended license. The judge declared him a dangerous offender, which means he will remain in prison indefinitely. He will only be released when and if he is considered safe by the parole board.
He was also put on the Sex Offenders Register for life and made the subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, which restricts his future contact with female children.
DC Katy King, of the Public Protection Unit in Exeter, said: “It has been an extremely traumatic and emotional time for all three victims.
“He has been on remand since July 2017 and this result finally provides these vulnerable victims with some closure.”

It was walking alongside a hedge, and it was huge
It has become almost an accepted phenomenon right across North America – but now a man has reported that he saw a Bigfoot-like creature walking in a field just ten miles from Bristol.
The eye-witness said he was on a train from Exeter to Bristol Temple Meads, which was approaching the city on a bright Friday morning in November last year when he saw a massive creature taking huge strides along a hedgerow.
The report was made to the British Bigfoot Sightings group – a team of researchers based around the country who collect and investigate sightings of upright hairy ape-like creatures in this country.
The man reported that he left Exeter late in the morning, and there were few people on the train as it approached Bristol.
“In my carriage was probably ten to 12 people – most of them with their head in either mobile phones or morning newspapers,” he told researchers.
“I haven’t been on a train for years, so I was keen to take in the scenery. About ten miles from Bristol we were traveling through an area and in the fields to my right I saw something large in the middle of the field walking, it was walking kind of hunched over, and all I could tell you was it was a black figure. At a guess, I would’ve said it was 70 to 100 meters away from the train. My eyes were glued on it at this point. I was watching the way the ‘thing’ was walking, almost towards the side of the field, it was edged right up to the hedgerow as if to walk alongside the hedge itself, almost like it was using the hedge for cover? To my eye whatever it was seemed to take massive strides, and ‘it’ was covering the ground very quickly. As I spun my head to the left to see if anybody else on the train had seen what I was looking at, I was surprised to see that nobody was really looking out from the seats in my direction, or any direction other than down to be fair,” he added.
If the eye-witness’s judgment that the sighting took place around ten miles before the train arrived at Temple Meads is accurate, it would put the sighting to the south of the railway line between Nailsea and Yatton stations.
The countryside at this point is a low-lying wetland, between the M5 and the wooded hillside escarpment that runs up to Bristol Airport.
“I would imagine five to ten seconds was all I saw it for,” the eyewitness added.
“But it stood out to me as strange. To start off with, I didn’t think it was a Bigfoot or anything like that until I watched how it walked and the way it hugged the hedgerow. I thought it was just somebody walking through a field, and if they were not acting in such a strange manner, with a strange gait, and hugging the bushes to stay hidden, surely a person wouldn’t do that? Or would look like that? Then, about two minutes later, after viewing this figure I saw a couple walking a collie dog in a field, roughly the same distance that I’d seen the black figure. They were to the side of the hedge line. I was gobsmacked to see that I could hardly make them out, I mean, I knew they were humans walking with the dog but I couldn’t really see what they were wearing apart from the brightly colored coats. And it dawned on me that they were probably of average size male and female, although what I had seen five minutes earlier was clearly not. It was an all-black figure in a field, ‘it’ was huge. I could see the black figured arms and legs and chest, compared to the two humans I had just seen walking the dog.”
“At the point of seeing the black figure, I realize the tree line behind it was probably around 200 m away and had a thick dense forest behind it. I have no proof whatsoever to show you, only my word. I’m 100 percent sure what I saw was the English Bigfoot – and what makes me so confident is the way it walked, with slightly bent legs, long strides but a graceful fluid walking motion,” he added.
While sightings of a hairy creature which walks on two legs are an almost daily occurrence somewhere in North America – and the subject of TV series, books, and films – even seasoned Bigfoot experts have questioned whether the animal could exist in the British Isles.
But sightings continue to be reported to British Bigfoot researchers, from the dense woods of Suffolk to the remote mountains of Scotland. There have always been folklore tales of a hairy man-like creature living in forests of England – back in the Middle Ages they were known as ‘woodwose’.

Bigfoot spotted in EUROPE? Fearless bloke chases ape-like figure through wilderness

Bizarre footage has emerged that appears to show the folklore legend alive and out for a stroll. The video – captured from a dashcam reveals a large ape-like figure walking alongside the main road. A closer look does not provide any more clarity though. The fearless bunch swing their vehicle around and decide to pursue the creature on foot.
Running through heavy snow they eventually come within meters of the unknown figure. But it quickly scurries away before we can get a closer look.
The footage was originally captured in the Russian city of Severodvinsk on February 18. But it has gained popularity after being shared on popular YouTube conspiracy page Bigfoot Tony today.
And viewers were quick to speculate. One comment read: “This has got to mean Bigfoot is in Russia.”
And another added: “Great footage here. I love how fearless the Russians generally are. You should see how they react around bears.”
Before a third simply stated: “This one looks genuine.”
Glowing UFO ‘spaceship’ spotted ‘watching’ ISS before DISAPPEARING into darkness

Bizarre footage has emerged that proves we are not alone in the universe – according to wild claims online.
The video was captured by NASA’s International Space Station on Friday and it appears to show a spaceship lurking in the background. The small orb-like object floats nearby the artificial satellite before appearing to glow and release smaller objects.
It then slowly fades out and disappears completely into the darkness. It was captured and shared on popular YouTube conspiracy channel The Hidden Underbelly 2.0.
The title read: “This UFO appeared on live cam and spit out an orb that quickly came closer to the space station. As the orb left the main ship, it was visible. However, its systems seem to become activated after it left, because it soon cloaked.”
The clip comes amid rising concerns of an alien invasion. Only last week we saw similar scenes after a larger “cloaked object” was spotted on the feed – before it was cut.

Neil Bailey, 43, has lived in the semi-detached house in Leeds, West Yorks, for around 12 years and heard stories that it was haunted by an elderly man in a flat cap – but is fiction becoming a reality?
A HOMEOWNER was left stunned upon discovering that an old ghost story about his house could be true. Neil Bailey has lived in the Leeds, West Yorks, home for 12 years and during the time had heard stories that it was haunted by an elderly man in a flat cap.
But much to the 43-year-old’s surprise, it might just all be true.
After looking at his house on Google Street View, Neil spotted an eerie shape of an “old man in a flat cap wearing a trench coat” stalking through his garden.
The odd shape can be seen upon zooming in on the property’s back gate – leaving Neil saying he is “unable to debunk it”.
He then shared the image on social media to see what other ghost hunters and paranormal enthusiasts thought. Neil wrote: “Apparently, my house could be haunted by an elderly man, who wears a flat cap. “Since, I have discovered this official picture from the Google Street cam site!The gate has a bamboo screen attached to it with absolutely nothing behind it. You can clearly see an old man wearing a flat cap behind it. To me, it looks like he is wearing a long trench coat. I’ve tried to debunk the image but I am unable to do so. I think the thing that impresses me the most is that I know the picture is from an official source and has definitely 100% not being edited or taken by me.”
Other paranormal enthusiasts suggested it was pareidolia – when someone sees a pattern in random data, and users also suggested that it is likely to just be where the bamboo of his fence has weathered over time.
But Neil was adamant that when the Google Street View image was taken in 2012, the bamboo was new and was not weathered at all. Neil said: “There is no paint on the gate. It’s just natural brown bamboo. I’ve done my best to explain the image but I can’t… No idea what it is but it certainly looks like a figure.”
