The world was saddened by the sudden death of Peaches Geldof; writer and T.V presenter who died by taking a fatal dose of heroin, just 25, on April 7th 2014.
The 25 year old was Daughter of Boom town rat’s front man and the co- creator of live aid, Bob Geldof and T.V presenter Paula Yates. The family sadly have experienced tragedy before when TV presenter Yates died of a drug overdose in September 2000. In September 2012 Geldof said Peaches’ had not been able to come to terms with her mother’s death for several years.
Peach’s body was found on 7 April 2014 at the home she shared with her husband, musician Thomas Cohen and their Children, Astala, 23 months, and 11-month-old Phaedra, in Wrotham, Kent. Geldof was found dead in a spare bedroom surrounded by all the paraphernalia of heroin abuse. She appeared to have taken a massive dose after two years of battling her addiction to the deadly drug.
There is one mystery that may never be solved that involved Peaches’ famed ghost hand Instagram which she claims was not a publicity stunt, despite allegations from various sources, that she posted early in that year.

Peaches Geldof claims a mysterious hand which appeared in a selfie she took belongs to a ghost. She snapped the picture of herself with son Astala in the bathroom of her Kent home. But when she looked at the photo she noticed the ghostly hand by the side of her head and posted it on Instagram saying: “Close up shot of the mystery ghost hand in pic I took of Astala and me In the bath!!”
“And no that isn’t my hand- one of mine was round his waist to hold him during the photo, the other holding the camera to take the shot.”

She later posted that she had, had to leave the door of her room ajar in order to let some light “in case the ghost comes back.”
Geldof said she had checked the council’s back catalogue and found out the 1920s building had been built by a wealthy man and his wife, who was pregnant at the time. She said the woman had given birth to a stillborn baby and that she was so grief-stricken she had gone mad and drowned herself in the bath. Geldof said she thought she had found a picture of the woman who killed herself
She said: “Do you think that she is the ghost?? Seems like it seeing as I saw the ghost in the bath tub! Terrifying!!!!!!!”
She said, however, that the “presence” she felt in the house was “friendly” and “rather maternal”
She continued: “Maybe she is just making her presence known because she loves having the babies around????? I hope so!!!!”
The full extent of Peaches Geldof’s addiction to heroin was revealed at the inquest into her death. The mother-of-two lied to her husband and hid the drug in the loft of her family home during the months before she died, it was disclosed.
In a bedroom cupboard, police found a £500 bag of heroin with a high purity level of 61 per cent — three times the normal concentration of street drugs. Returning a verdict of a drug-related death, north-west Kent coroner Roger Hatch said the years Geldof spent overcoming her addiction lowered her tolerance to the drug. What was previously a normal dosage for her turned out to be a fatal overdose.
Will we ever know the truth behind the Ghost hand picture? Was it merely a fantasy played out as part of a her drug addicted mind or a hoax to gain attention? Peaches claimed it was real but sadly her tragic death may make this one of the most intriguing and compelling ghost photographs of the 21st century. I don’t know anything re. the paranormal, but working on learning. I definitely need to get this book!
I am a big believer in the other side . To me the hand would represent that the spirit knew of what was coming and maybe it was a sign for her to know she was not alone and someone knew what she was going through
Hoax. The supernatural is non-existent.
